Tool Steel, Bars
Steel grade: 1.2344 (X40CrMoV5-1) 1.2343 (X37CrMoV5-1) under DIN EN ISO 4957 (with structure control)
- diameter Ø 5,0 - 32,0 mm
- length 2,0 – 4,0 m
- roughness Ra ≤ 2.5 mkm
Hot-rolled bars, turned:
- diameter Ø 15 - 95 mm
- length 3,0 – 5,0 м
- roughness Rz ≤ 40 mkm
Forged bars, turned:
- diameter Ø 100 - 450 mm
- length 2,5 – 5,0 m
- roughness Rz ≤ 80 mkm.
Diameter deviation for all bars is allowable only in positive tolerance limits.
Chemical composition, deviation of chemical composition and other technical requirements are under DIN EN ISO 4957 and special requirements agreed by a buyer and the seller.
The bars are delivered annealed.
Structure inspection for diameters up to 280 mm is under SEP 1614:
a) for carbide segregation - on the standard quality level
b) for microstructure - on the acceptable level
Nonmetallic inclusions content is under DIN 50602, K4 =<20 method; inclusion content shall not be more than 5 points.
100% of bars with diameter up to 100 mm under SEP 1920 class C/c, over 100 mm and up to 300 mm under SEP 1921 class D/d and over 300 mm under SEP 1921 class C/c.
