“ELECTROSTAL” Plant located in the suburbs of Moscow has played a significant role in our country`s economy development as a superior Plant producing high-quality metallic products. The Plant operating biography started on November, 17, 1917.

The entire Plant`s history is indissolubly connected with the concept “for the first time”. For the first time in our country “ELECTROSTAL`s Metallurgists have elaborated production of stainless, magnetic and ball-bearing steels to be used in machine-building and in chemical industrial branches; high-temperature superalloys for jet-engines aviation and for space vehicles; thermo-bimetals and alloys exhibiting specific physical properties to be required in instrument engineering, radio engineering and communication means as well.

For the first time ELECTROSTAL`s Metallurgists have introduced on the industrial scale refining remelting processes; vacuum treatment techniques; advanced production processes for metal deformation which allow to produce metal that exhibits perfect quality characteristics.

Above 2000 steel and alloy grades, including stainless, ball-bearing, high speed, tool and structural steels as well as high-temperature, precision and titanium alloys have been elaborated by the Plant’s Professionals in collaboration with Scientists/Metallurgists.

In 1993 the electro-metallurgical Plant “ELECTROSTAL” has been reorganized to form a Public Joint Stock Company.

At present JSC “Metallurgical Plant “ELECTROSTAL” is maintaining and impoving its productional potential to supply a wide variety of high quality metallic products: forgings; discs; hot-rolled and forged bars, pressworks; cold-drawn wire; hot-rolled sheet and cold-rolled strip to both domestic and foreign market.

Metal produced by the Plant is used in major country’s economy branches to manufacture machine parts; special facilities; shafts; bearings; turbine blades; tools; springs; chemical instrumentation; permanent magnets; heating elements; welding electrodes, etc.

JSC “Metallurgical Plant “ELECTROSTAL” products have been certified by Technical Supervisors / Workers Union – TUV (Germany). The products service-properties do meet International Standards’ requirements. The quality system applied at the Plant was tested and admitted to meet the requirements of the International Standard ISO 9001:2000.

While having a high scientific potential and modern equipment to produce high- quality metal, the Plant is being a leader in manufacturing special steels and alloys.

Apart from the main products, JSC”Metallurgical Plant “ELECTROSTAL” is manufacturing consumer goods, such as stainless steel cutleries widely known outside Moscow region.
